Hi! We are Melissa and Katie and we are so thankful you’ve decided to stop by and see what we’re up to!
We are friends, moms, wives, and working ladies from Madison, Wisconsin with a passion for food, fashion, fun, and community! We had both tried blogging separately and just realized that we didn’t have the time or capacity to fully do it on our own, so we decided to join forces! Life is better done together, right? We are excited to create a space where you feel welcome to be yourself while inspired at the same time.
So what can you expect to see on Everyday M&K?
We share recipes that are healthy, simple and family-friendly. We also share fashion that is cute and affordable. While food and fashion will be the bulk of what you find here, we will share a little bit of everything, from DIY to healthy living.
Meet Melissa
Melissa is wife to Brett and mom to identical twins, Ella and Eva. She was a high school Spanish teacher for 12 years. She is passionate about natural health and wellness as she has seen it make a huge difference in her life and her daughters. She loves spending time with loved ones, starting her day with a cup of coffee, cooking, reading, warm baths, finding good deals, organization, traveling to warm places, and staying at bed and breakfasts.
Meet Katie
Katie is wife to Logan and mom to Ellis and Lennon. She is an Art Director and loves creating beautiful things. The three things in life that make her the happiest are her family, being active, and spending time outside. Besides that, she loves thrifting, cooking/baking, DIY, interior design, shopping (a little too much according to Logan), traveling, watermelon, coffee/tea, meaningful conversation, meeting new people, oversized sweatpants, and the color blue!
Meet Abby
Abby lives in Madison with her husband Matt and their two kids, an energetic daughter Teddy and their charming son Smith. She grew up in Sun Prairie, graduated from UW-Platteville, and now loves calling Madison home. She enjoys Badger sporting events, designing and remodeling homes, and reading a good book.
Abby is a behind the scenes guru with her years of experience in operations and project management. She helps M&K with finances, taxes, brand communication, events, blog posts, and more!
Meet Lindsey
Lindsey has lived in Monona, WI for 10 years with her husband Adam and three kiddos: Emerson (10), Hazel (8), Mac (4), and beloved golden doodle, Barley Boo. Lindsey is originally from Lansing, MI and graduated from Michigan State University.
She loves to read, get her booty kicked at Burn, belt her heart out with live music, and host friends and neighbors for wine, fires and s’mores. Her family enjoys all the wonderful festivals, parks, and trails in the Madison area. Lindsey helps M&K find and post great sales, keeps our Amazon storefront and IG organized, and is the brains behind our quarterly newsletter!

We both volunteered for the Madison Moms Blog. We grew to be acquaintances and started to follow each other on social - we both had blogs! Well M left teacher after 12 years and went to work for a local supplement company. They were looking for a graphic designer and art director. She randomly texted Katie to see if she was interested and it just so happened she was interested! So we worked together for a year. M went back to teaching a year later for a variety of reasons and we really missed working together. Katie asked if we wanted to start a blog. M immediately said yes, and the rest is history!
