About a month ago, we were chatting and thought it would be fun to celebrate our friends who have been so supportive of us and our blog. So we decided to throw Brunch & Bouquets and get all dressed up to celebrate the past four years! For the event, we partnered with Christy from Opal Market Flowers to provide a bouquet bar and after brunch, each of the ladies got to make their own bouquet to take home!
We received some questions about what food we served and the process, so we thought we would put everything together in this post for you. That way, you can recreate a fun morning or shower with your girlfriends!
Sending Invites
Something we thought would be fun (even though the weather wasn’t nice) was to encourage everyone to dress up in their most fun spring attire! We all needed a good excuse to do our hair, makeup, and wear that flowy dress that’s been neglected in our closet. It was so fun seeing everyone’s outfits. Even though the weather outside was cold and overcast, our crew made the day feel sunny and bright!
What we made to eat
When it came to food, we made everything with recipes from our blog. We made sweet potato crust quiche, sausage, spinach, feta egg bake, mixed berry oatmeal bake, and mini fruit pizzas. Pair your bakes with fruit salad, the mixings for mimosas and Waa-laa! You are ready for brunch!
Now just doing brunch with friends is always a great idea, but we wanted to do something a little extra special for our friends. We’ve known Christy for years and she’s just the sweetest! She has been working hard over the past few months getting Opal Market Flowers up and running and we are so excited for her new adventure! We felt it would fit our spring theme to have Christy set up a flower bar. Our guests gathered a few floral stems and Christy used her amazing arrangement skills to make them look perfect! She then wrapped the bouquets for everyone to take beautiful creations home.
This brunch was such a blast! It was so sweet having our friends that have supported us along the way all in one room, eating, chatting, and gathering around a table together. We say “life is done better together” a lot around here and we mean it!
This is a good reminder to call up your friends and make those plans. Whether it’s getting all dolled up for Brunch & Bouquets or inviting your friends over in their pjs to sit around your kitchen counter with a cup of coffee. You won’t regret spending time with those who encourage and support you!
Cheers to all of you who supported us in our journey. We love having you here!
