Caprese Pasta Salad

I have made this recipe countless times! I have made it with store bought pesto and I have made my own. OF COURSE it’s better with homemade pesto, but isn’t everything homemade better? 💁🏼‍♀️ Here is our homemade pesto recipe. If you have the time, try making your own. If not, use a jar!

Tips for the Perfect Caprese Pasta Salad

  • Use Fresh Ingredients: The key to a great Caprese salad is fresh, high-quality ingredients. Choose ripe, juicy tomatoes and fresh, fragrant basil.
  • Pasta Choice: While you can use any pasta, short pasta shapes like penne, fusilli, or farfalle are ideal as they hold the dressing well.
  • Customization: Feel free to get creative with additional ingredients. Avocado, roasted red peppers, or arugula can add interesting flavors and textures.
  • Serving Suggestions: Caprese Pasta Salad pairs wonderfully with grilled meats, crusty bread, or as a standalone dish for a light lunch.

Store Bought Ingredients

Caprese Pasta Salad

Don’t have time to grow your own ingredients? No problem, here are the items I purchase in the store that make a great salad.

Caprese Pasta Salad is a celebration of summer in every bite. The sweetness of the tomatoes, the creaminess of the mozzarella, and the aromatic basil combine with the pasta to create a dish that’s both satisfying and refreshing. Pair it with our Veggie Burgers, your favorite grilled chicken, or good ol’ cheeseburger. Give this recipe a try, and you’ll have a new favorite dish to add to your summer menu!

Enjoy your summer and happy cooking!
