Hope Clothing is a small boutique located in Green Bay, WI and is owned by one of my (Melissa) high school friends, Crystal! Crystal has a heart of gold and we are so excited to share her little shop and their mission with you all. Crystal is a married, mama of two who works FULL TIME as an IT manager for Hospital Sisters Health System and also runs Hope Clothing! Can we say HUSTLER?! But before we share her mission and the beautiful options from her shop, we want to remind you to head to our Instagram page to enter the $100 giveaway! There is also a free shipping code: MANDK. So you can use that to try any items and get them shipped to you free of charge!
How it all started
Crystal and her cousin DaNelle opened Hope with the dream of opening a boutique that carried unique clothes to help people feel comfortable and confident. They made it their job to find the best brands and just sharing their favorites with their customers. They have always believed in lifting women up and helping them feel good about themselves.
Hope started out of a small dream but has turned into something so much bigger. In 2019, DaNelle passed away from cancer. Crystal has kept Hope open to honor her cousin! And she does that in so many ways! A portion of every sale is donated to The Brittany Cayemberg Foundation & The Beaux Mettler Foundation in honor of Hope’s co-founder, DaNelle Hocking.
In addition, $1 of every sale goes to Hope’s Beautiful Warrior program. This program gives women battling Cancer a shopping spree at Hope Clothing. The goal is to help her feel beautiful while she’s fighting this horrible disease. There have been about 18 women go through this program already! AMAZING! If you know someone who is going through cancer and would love this opportunity, you can nominate them send Crystal an email or message on Facebook or IG with a little information about the person you are nominating.
Items we tried
So Katie and I had the opportunity to snag a few items from Hope and we love them so much! The quality on all of the pieces was really great and we loved all of the different options. Katie also tried the Red Aspen nails and loved them!!
First up… Red Aspen nails!
Katie here now! Running a business on social media, I have become very in tune with all the top trending items in the fashion and beauty industry. These Red Aspen Nails have been all the rage. I’ve heard several bloggers rave about them! So when I saw that Hope carried them, I knew I had to try them for myself. I ended up getting the square/short nail dashes in the color ‘Kathryn and the Ballet Slipper.’
I am NOT a manicure person.
Let me quick preface my review with saying I am NOT a manicure person. Fancy nails are not a signature M&K thing. 😉 I love having them done, but unless I get gel, they are chipped and ruined in less than a week. And if I get gel or dipped, it ruins my nails so badly, that to me, it’s just not worth it. This was my very first time with ‘press on’ or glue on’ nails and I was really quite impressed. I read the directions and applied them accordingly. I lightly sanded my nails and applied a thin layer of glue both on the fake nail and my own nail.
It took me a few days to get used to them, but I was obsessed with the way they looked. After about two days, they felt like they were mine and they no longer annoyed me. After about a week, one popped off and I simply re-sanded and reapplied it. Easy peasy! I took them off after about two weeks when another one popped off. My nails were a bit scuffed up and damaged, but not too bad. Certainly not as bad as from gel. All in all, I loved them! They made me feels so polished!
Our clothing picks!
Crystal only orders small quantities of items, so things are constantly changing in the shop. She posts new arrivals every Tuesday evening. Ok, here are some of the other items we snagged!
Why Hope?
We know there are ton of clothing boutiques out there. We also know that we promote a lot of items from Target, Walmart, Amazing, etc. But what we love about promoting small businesses like Crystal’s is that not only are we supporting her and her family. But we are honoring her cousin’s memory and supporting brave women going through cancer. That’s a purchase we can definitely get behind! We absolutely LOVE what Crystal is doing and hope you’ll take the time to check out her little shop.
