The Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso is an extremely popular drink at Starbucks. If you are looking for a copycat recipe that you can make at home, we’ve got you covered! The shaken espresso is a go to for a cold coffee drink that tastes delicious. Not only can you make it exactly how you would like, you are saving money by making your coffee at home!
We love easy, delicious, and sometimes a little healthier option for dinners, desserts, and drinks. The shaken espresso pairs well with our banana chocolate chip blender muffins and ham and cheese scones in the morning. Need an afternoon pick up? Try it with our cream cheese toast!
The Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso combines the richness of espresso with the creamy sweetness of oat milk and the caramelized depth of brown sugar.
You can make a batch of brown sugar syrup to keep in a mason jar to use throughout your week. The brown sugar adds molasses flavor, subtle caramel taste, that blends with the bitterness of the espresso.
Next pick out your favorite espresso. It’s the heart of the drink and provides the flavor and of course, the kick of caffeine. If you don’t have an espresso machine, you can use a French Press, or other techniques in this video.
You can use regular milk too, but I love the dairy free option and taste a little bit better using oat milk. Chobabni Oatmilk is my personal choice for this drink. Oat milk is great for it’s cream texture and subtle sweetness.
Add syrup, ice, and espresso (or coffee) into a cocktail shaker or mason jar. Shake away! Shaking the ingredients is crucial to create a frothy layer and mix the ingredients.
After shaking, pour the shaken espresso in your favorite ice coffee glass or mug and enjoy and top with oat milk.
Enjoy!
