After some planning (and a little flying by the seat of our pants, let’s be real here), we are excited to announce our January Cooking Challenge. This is the first of many cooking challenges that we hope to do. One of our favorite quotes is from Julia Child, “No one is born a great cook, one learns by doing.”
We have both heard so many people say that they don’t like cooking or they aren’t good at it. Well, just like I tell my girls, you won’t be good at it right away. It takes practice. And with that practice, we want to be right there with you. We want to encourage you to get in the kitchen. Try our simple recipes and enjoy them with your family and friends.
Starting simple
While planning, we decided that we wanted to start with a simple challenge. We aren’t sharing a weekly meal plan and asking you to make a homemade meal every night of the week. We want to keep it simple and doable. With this January Cooking Challenge, we encourage you to make one of our meals per week.
The Challenge
Every week, we will be highlighting one of our favorite dinner recipes. We will share a shopping list and we will both hop on stories to share tips and tricks for how we make it. Here is the lineup for the month.
The week of January 6th – Enchiladas verdes
The week of January 13th – Salmon cakes
The week of January 20th – Chicken noodle soup
The week of January 27th – Sweet chili korean BBQ tacos
The reward
Next comes the fun part. If you make these meals with us, share it on your social pages and tag us (must be set to public), you will get entered to win a homemade meal by yours truly… M & K. We will bring one of our favorite meals right to your doorstep! Every meal you make and share will get you one entry. If you aren’t local, we will send you an Amazon gift card.
We are so excited to see how many of you will participate and give these simple, delicious meals a chance. One meal per week, you’ve got this! Finally, we would love for you to invite your friends to participate as well. See you in the kitchen!
