These Sweet Potato Fries with Sriracha Aioli are the perfect side for your summer grill out. A few weeks ago, my family and I had our first summer grill out. We grilled burgers and brats, ate watermelon and enjoyed Alexia sweet potato fries (my favorite brand of store-bought fries). It was delightful!
After that, I decided that I wanted to make my own seasoned sweet potato fries with a dipping sauce. I’m not sure about you, but I am all about the sauces. I really believe that a good sauce can take a food to the next level! I love ketchup with regular French fries, but I just don’t think ketchup cuts it with sweet potato fries.
A few years ago, when I used to work at the high school in Verona, may coworkers and I would eat at a local restaurant frequently. They served the BEST sweet potato fries with a creamy aioli dipping sauce. So my mission as I played around with this recipe was to recreate that dipping sauce. And I think I succeeded. It’s so good!
The secret sauce
The sauce is a combination of mayo, sriracha, honey and Worcestershire sauce. It’s the perfect combination of sweet and spicy and just adds so much to the fries! It also tastes really good on burgers, so I usually make a big batch when I’m making it. (It stores well for up to a week.)
If you have never made your own fries or potato wedges, you are definitely missing out. It’s so simple, and while they maybe don’t get quite as crispy, the flavor and freshness make them so good! Ok, last side note and then I’ll get you the recipe.. I bake them. I don’t have an air fryer, but if I did, I would probably use that. If you have an air fryer, you should try this recipe with it and let me know how it goes. I think it would work really well.
Here are a few other recipes that we love that could also be served as sides. Ok, here is the recipe for our Sweet Potato Fries with Sriracha Aioli. We hope you love it as much as we do!
