Have you ever been to Wisconsin Dells in the winter? M here! We went for a quick trip last weekend and had the best time! We have been there in the winter before but mostly with extended family and we usually just stay at the resort and cook our own food. This time, we did more adventuring and explored all of the fun things to do and places to eat! Here is what we did!
Let’s start with where we stayed! We have stayed at a few of the resorts in the Dells, but this time we stayed at the Wilderness. I love that they have 4 different indoor water parks that feature water slides, a wave pool, lazy river, swim up bars, and more. They have something for people of every age! The hurricane, tube slides, and lazy river were our favorites!
We also love all of the great attractions that the Wilderness offers. We weren’t able to try everything, but we did the ropes course and go karts! They also have laser tag, climbing walls, Timberland playhouse, mini golf, arcade and a Take Flight theater. You can purchase these items separately or get an unlimited pass and try them all! It’s such a fun way to stay busy and spend time as a family!
There are so many great places to eat in the Dells and The Wilderness actually has a lot of great spots to eat at too, but we wanted to try some new (and old favorite) restaurants while we were there. We grabbed lunch at B-Lux Grill and Bar which is known for its burgers, fries, and fun shakes! But they have something for everyone and a lot of great options. Brett and I both got salads and the girls got a turkey club sandwich! They even offer gluten free buns!
We spent most of the afternoon and evening swimming, so we decided to just order dinner in. We did delivery from Moosejaw, our favorite pizza place in the Dells! They delivered the food right to our room which was great because we all needed to shower. The girls and I got pizza and Brett got a wrap! I just learned that they also now have a breakfast buffet!
The last restaurant that we tried was Bella Goose Coffee on the River. This was our first time there and it exceeded our expectations. We loved everything we tried and were over the moon with all of the gluten (and some dairy) free options! All of their scones are gluten free and they offer a gf/df chocolate chip cookie as well! I saw they also have a gf waffle, which we will have to try next time we are there. They have in-house coffee and syrups and source local ingredients. We tried the tropical smoothie, sunrise plate, and WI bowl. Everything was delicious and we will be back!
Lastly, let’s chat about some other fun places to explore in Wisconsin Dells in the winter! We started our weekend at Wizard Quest which was so fun. I actually had no idea what to expect, but we loved it. You get a tablet and walk around solving quests. There are 4 different areas to explore and they are all so unique. Everything is interactive! We would definitely go back!
We also checked out Chalet Lanes for a fun, family game of bowling! It brought me back to my childhood of bowling! They have a full menu, a lot of drink options, and it was a fun way to spend an hour!
The last thing we did, besides all of the great activities at the Wilderness, was walk the River Walk downtown. We lucked out with a nice day in February and it was almost 45 degrees, so it was a treat to get a nice walk outside. They have beautiful artwork and a nice walking path along the river. We highly recommend checking it out!
